REACHING FURTHER Our first focus is our 12 wonderful boys. Rosemary & Moffat have committed to care for them into adulthood, and their education is a huge component of this care. However, the generous outpouring of support we have already received has allowed us to begin helping others in the community. The first step was founding the Education Scholarship Fund, which has already given 12 students the chance to complete their high-school educations when they were no longer able to pay. The ESF can go a long way to help youth in the 6 villages. With the second chances our scholarships provide, these students are now determined to succeed and become contributing members to the community. Meet our current scholarship students. We have further hopes of providing university scholarships and career guidance that your support will make possible. |
BUILDING A SCHOOL Malawi's educational system is still in developing stages. Children desperately need books and qualified teachers. We hope to build and maintain a school that makes the whole country proud. ABOUT THE PALACE We have located a structure in Mzuzu that we would love to purchase. Built in the 1980s, the Palace is one of the biggest buildings in Mzuzu. The owner, once closely tied to the dictator, began building a hilltop home that rivalled the dictator's palace in size and magnificence. In jealousy, the dictator cut off funds. The unfinished Palace is large enough to accommodate several classrooms, a performing arts center, and boarding rooms.
